Thanksgiving 2010

Sorry folks no pictures but I have to write and say that I am so thankful this Thanksgiving and not just for a full day of sitting around and eating (which we all know I love to do). It was especially fun this year to have almost my whole family there...Angi wasn't able to make it but all my other siblings and their spouses and their kids were all there. My mother had me make pies this year! What was she thinking!! Don't get me wrong I actually love making pies but to make them for the whole family including extended is a little bit nerve racking! I think that puts on some pressure to make them better than I usually make them. I only hope everyone enjoyed them... I didn't even eat any... what is wrong with me... Now I have pumpkin pie with drawl. I think that I'm going to have to make and eat pumpkin pie for like a week straight... That would be awesome!!!
This year was an interesting one! I have been in a funk lately for various reasons and can't seem to shake it! I wasn't very excited for this Thanksgiving because I haven't been enjoying family time lately, but surprisingly it did me a lot of good. So now I can't stop thinking about how thankful I am that I have them around it is all that matters!!

End o'school!!

So I'm sitting here thinking, Wow!! only 8 more days until school is officially out!! I can't believe that it is finally over! I don't mean that in a bad way despite what you may think ;) So I thought I'd share a few memories of this year... Here goes...

• car-pool rides with Christi and Chelcie (singing... screaming at the top of our lungs)
• Pretending to work out while Chelcie really did and then rewarding myself with treats because, obviously, I worked out.
• Getting in a car wreck... and then getting a little extra cash that I wasn't counting on.
• staying up late talking to Chelcie
• Staying up late grading papers!!!
• Staying after school to tutor the cutest little girl in math... She eventually got into resource.
• Finding the "Chinese Food" excuse me the "Chinese Express" in Eagle Mountain
• Stop and Thinks... more Stop and Thinks... my kids kept count and 134 stop and thinks came to our room this year so far!!! Ouch!!!
• Spring break in France!!! Yeah baby!!!
• Going Snowboarding for the first time... and lovin it!!
  
• Class parties yahoo!!
• Teacher appreciation week was stellar... bring on those junior mints and tootsies
• Starting the year with 37 students and then giving some up to Jamie
• Homework Parties
• Thieves Court... Someone stole Hone bucks from me!! Hello don't steal from me, I know who you are!!! ;)
• And finally, finding underwear, dirty socks, old jackets, gloves, and hats inside the lunch bucket... Wow!! kiddos take care of your stuff!!
